This Privacy Policy explains how BackupPowerPlain (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit https://backuppowerplain.com (the “Website”). Please also read our Cookie Policy.

2. What data we collect

Data you give us. If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, subject and message. If you leave a comment we receive your name, email address, optional website, the comment, your IP address and browser user agent. Your email address is never published.

Data collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and technical operation. With your consent where the law requires it, Google Analytics collects pages visited, time on page, approximate location, device and browser information and referral source.

Advertising and affiliate links. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar identifiers to show and measure ads (see section 5). When you click an affiliate link, such as a link to Amazon, the retailer may set a cookie to record that the visit came from this Website (see section 6).

We do not knowingly collect sensitive data, and the Website is not directed at children under 16.

4. How long we keep data

  • Contact messages: up to 12 months after the conversation ends, unless needed longer for a legal claim.
  • Comments: while the comment stays published, or until you ask us to delete it.
  • Analytics data: according to the Google Analytics retention setting (maximum 14 months).

5. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

This Website uses Google AdSense to display advertisements.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through our cookie banner. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalized ads.

6. Affiliate links (Amazon Associates and others)

BackupPowerPlain is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click an affiliate link and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not receive your name, address or payment details from the retailer. 7. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Website: our web hosting provider; Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. (analytics and advertising); affiliate partners such as Amazon, only through their own cookies when you click their links; and public authorities when required by law.

8. International transfers

Some providers are located in the United States. These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email contact@backuppowerplain.com. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) or your local authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information. Some advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out through the cookie banner or Google’s Ads Settings, and you may ask us to disclose or delete the personal information we hold about you.

We use HTTPS encryption and reasonable technical measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top always shows the current version.
